  • Tamara Lewit's research field is archaeological evidence for economic history in the Roman Empire, Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages. Her areas of interest are farming, animals in human society, technological innovation, settlement, and trade in agricultural products. Her research covers the first millennium AD, with a particular focus on the 4th to 7th centuries.
