  • Dr Jooyeon Son is a Senior Lecturer in the Human Resource Management area in the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Melbourne. She received her PhD in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the School of Labor and Employment Relations at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Before joining the Department of Management and Marketing, she was an Assistant Professor in Business School at the Renmin University of China. She conducts research in the areas of gender, leadership, international human resource management, talent management, and employee well-being. Her work has appeared in multiple scholarly journals including Academy of Management Journal, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and International Journal of Human Resource Management. Her teaching interests include Human Resource Management; Organizational Behavior; Leadership; Diversity; Research Methods
