Overview

OverviewText1

  • Lewis Gould-Fensom is a (very) early career researcher currently employed as a Research Assistant under Georgina Sutherland and Tony Jorm at the School of Population and Global Health. At present, his work focuses on evaluating a Mental Health First Aid short course on suicide intervention and prevention targeted at members and frontline workers in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. A particularly apt job placement as he has a keen interest in expanding the scope of psychological research to become more inclusive and applicable to culturally and linguistically diverse groups in Australia. His other interests include understanding how mental health services can be extended and improved to support people of refugee and new migrant backgrounds in Australia and internationally.
