Overview

OverviewText1

  • Dr Jessica Fletcher completed her PhD at the University of Sydney in 2013 investigating the molecular pathophysiology of inherited neurological disease with white matter (myelin) pathology using large animal models. She joined the University of Melbourne in 2015 as a Multiple Sclerosis Research Australia Postdoctoral Fellow and is a current Melbourne Neuroscience Institute (MNI) Fellow. Her research is focused on determining the molecular events that regulate myelin formation in the brain, and to understand how these influence brain function. Her ultimate goal is to use this knowledge to design therapies for conditions where myelin perturbations contribute to disability, such as Multiple Sclerosis, traumatic injury and anxiety.
