A/PROF Elizabeth Scarr

  • Elizabeth graduated with a BSc. honours in Pharmacology from Sunderland University and went to the University of Saskatchewan where she studied Neuropsychopharmacology. Having been awarded a PhD she spent a year in Dunedin, New Zealand working on the rat hypoxic/ischaemic model. In 1996 she moved to Melbourne, joining the Rebecca L. Cooper Research Laboratories at the Mental Health Research Institute, where she started working with human post-mortem tissue. Associate Professor Scarr was an ARC Future Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry. She is currently a student in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program in the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences.
