  • Dr. Lowe is a NHMRC Career Development Fellow in the Centre for Molecular, Environmental, Genetic and Analytic (MEGA) Epidemiology. He is a co-investigator on the Melbourne Atopy Cohort Study, a family study of allergic disease, which has recently received NHMRC funding. He is also an investigator on HealthNuts, a study to determine the prevalence and risk factors for peanut allergy. He also has research collaborations with Umeå University and Karolinska Institute in Sweden. Adrian’s research interests concern the natural history of allergic diseases in childhood, and what might have caused the rapid rise in the prevalence of these conditions over the last four decades. His specific interests include the possible role of vitamin D int he aetiology of allergic disease, and the epidemiology of eczema.
