Matthew is a senior project officer with Nossal Institute Ltd, a part of the Nossal Institute for Global Health. He is a medical doctor working in public health, with a focus on maternal and child health, harm reduction, and the design and evaluation of health programs. He has lived in South Asia for nearly twenty years, most recently working as a program officer for the BMGF-funded Project ORCHID, a Nossal Institute/EHA collaborative program for HIV high risk groups in North-East India. He coordinates and teaches in several global health subjects for the Master of Public Health, and conducts consultancies in evaluation and capacity building for development partners. HIs current research investigates traditional birth attendants in pastoralist groups in central Kenya.
