DR Terence Chong




  • Terry is a research fellow at the Academic Unit for Psychiatry of Old Age at the Department of Psychiatry.
    He is involved in research around cognitive health and cognitive impairment as well as physical activity, anxiety and Huntington's disease.
    In 2018, he was awarded Membership of the Melbourne Medical School Academy of Clinical Teachers and teaches medical students and psychiatrists in training through the Master of Psychiatry course.  He was also course coordinator of the Masters course from 2010-2013.
    He advocates to increase community awareness of cognitive health, for example in the media and in community forums.
    He also practices as a psychiatrist at St Vincent's Health and Epworth Healthcare.
    In 2017, he co-launched a new online CBT based weight management program called Medical and Mind Weight Loss.
