  • Professor Emeritus Kaye Stacey retired at the end of 2012, after holding the Foundation Chair of Mathematics Education since 1992. She continues her active interest in mathematics education practice and research. Professor Stacey is author of approximately 400 published works, including research articles, articles for mathematics teachers and an increasing number of electronic resources. Her interests centre about mathematical thinking and problem solving, student conceptual development, curriculum, and new technologies for teaching mathematics. She has been Chair of the international Mathematics Expert Group for the OECD's 2012 PISA survey. She works as a consultant to educational systems in Australia and overseas.
