  • Anne Lillis is Fitzgerald Chair of Accounting in the Department of Accounting. Anne is a member of the editorial boards of Accounting, Organizations and Society, Contemporary Accounting Research, Management Accounting Research, Journal of Management Accounting Research, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, Abacus and the European Accounting Review .

    Anne researches and teaches in Management Accounting. Her research interests focus on field studies of the design and behavioural influence of performance management and control systems. Her teaching interests are in Management Accounting, with a particular focus on capstone and case-based teaching. 

    Anne was Chair of the CAANZ Management Accounting and Finance Member Advisory Panel, and a member of the CAANZ Education Board from 2006-2016.

    Prior to joining the University of Melbourne, Anne spent several years in the Australian Taxation Office as well as at La Trobe and Deakin Universities.
