Biography

After completing her PhD, Robyn taught introductory linguistics and discourse analysis in Canada. She has extensive ESL teaching experience in workplace and academic settings. Robyn has worked as a consultant for a number of universities developing English for Academic Purposes materials, and she is co-author of the prize winning CD-ROM Academic writing: A language based approach. She has published in The Journal of English for Academic Purposes, Prospect, Higher Education Research and Development and Australian Review of Applied Linguistics. Since working in the Clinical Communication and Learning Development Program* at the University of Melbourne her research interests have expanded into the area of intercultural clinical communication for students and International Medical Graduates.
