Biography

Caroline Miley has degrees in Law and Art History from the University of Melbourne, a Dip. Ed. from Hawthorn and Ph.D from Latrobe University. She has been an Associate of the Art History Department of Latrobe University and has been teaching in tertiary institutes since 1983. She has published several books and articles in Australian art, design and craft journals and exhibition catalogues and been active in curatorial work and conferences of art history, architecture and historical associations. She was curator of the VCA Collection from 2001-2004. Her most recent book is the controversial The Suicidal Church (Pluto Press, Sydney, 2001). She is currently working on a catalogue raisonné of the stained glass art of Christian Waller.
