Biography

Dr. Ken Young is based at Dookie - a rural campus of the University of Melbourne in the Goulburn Valley. The valley is considered the food bowl of the Australia being close to all the major Australian commodities such as perennial fruit crops, winter rainfed annual cropping (cereals, oilseeds and pulses), and irrigated and rainfed grazing industries.


His interests lie in spatial management of nutrients and crops, seed ecology, weed management, organic / sustainable agricultural systems and adoption of new technologies (e.g. genetically modified organisms and precision agriculture).
