Biography
I've been involved in over $4 million worth of successful funding applications (~$1 million for personally administered projects) from many sources including the Australian Research Council, National Health and Medical Research Council, the European Union, Novell, Sensis, DITARD, Telstra and VicRoads
Additionally
- Published 100+ papers, edited volumes and book chapters in the national and international literature
- Editorial board member of both Interacting with Computers and Personal and Ubiquitous Computing
- Invited speaker and keynote speaker at a number of usability conferences
- Technical co-chair of IFIP's INTERACT'97 conference
- Technical co-chair of the national Australian usability conference OzCHI in both 1994 and 2000
- General Chair of OzCHI'94
- Two terms as national secretary of the Australian HCI group (CHISIG)
- Three terms as Victorian state convener of CHISIG
- Consulted on usability to many companies, including Rank Xerox (UK), British Aerospace, Marconi and DSTO
