Biography
Professor Rob Moodie is the inaugural Chair of Global Health. He has over 30 years experience planning and evaluating health programs in Australia, Africa, Asia and the Pacific. He was the inaugural Director of Country Support for UNAIDS in Geneva from 1995-1998 and the CEO of VicHealth from 1998-2007. He is currently the Chair of the National Preventative Health Taskforce, and Australian Government initiative and acting Chair of the Commission on AIDS in the Pacific. He also Chairs the Technical Advisory Panel for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Avahan project for prevention of HIV in India. He combines these and other roles including the Chair of the Melbourne Storm Rugby Union Club. He has co-edited and co-authored four books including "Promoting Mental Health", "Hands on Health Promotion" and "Recipes for a Good Life" with Gabriel Gate.
