Biography

Sarah Whittle completed her PhD in 2006 at the University of Melbourne under the co-supervision of Assoc Prof Nicholas Allen and Dr. Murat Yucel. Dr. Whittle’s PhD thesis used neuroimaging techniques to examine the brain structural and functional correlates of core temperament dimensions in the large sample of early adolescent individuals comprising the research sample. Dr. Whittle is now completing an Australian Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship, whereby she aims to extend her PhD work by investigating longitudinal measures of brain development and onset of psychopathology in the adolescent sample. Dr. Whittle currently has six published articles (three as first author) in high-impact peer reviewed international journals. She has also presented at a number of national and international conferences, many for which she has received travel awards.
