Biography

Dr. Bo Chen was born in a small village in Henan province in central China. He got his B.Eng from Hefei University of Technology in 2002 and got his Ph.D from University of Science and Technology of China in 2007. In his early research work, Dr. Chen was interested in photonic crystal and computation physics. But in 2005, due to collaboration with Institute of High Energy Physics, he transferred his research to X-ray phase contrast imaging and spent 2.5 years in Beijing. He got the postdoctoral fellowship from the University of Melbourne in 2007 and has been working there since then. His research interests include high-resolution X-ray imaging, partially coherent optics and X-ray computer tomography.
