Biography
Andrew O'Keefe is the 1st Year Lecturer at the Faculty of Film & television. Andrew graduated in 2001 with his short film "Wednesday".
Aside from lecturing, Andrew is co-owner and Director of Apocalypse Films Pty. Ltd., a film & video production company based in Clifton Hill, Melbourne. The company was established with the mission of producing feature films and in late 2006, their first production "The Independent" completed principal photography.
Andrew's background is in the business of film & video distribution, predominantly with Blockbuster Video Australia. Andrew was one of the original employees during the company's entry into the Australian market in 1991. Andrew spent 5 years with the company in Senior Management with approximately 15 outlets and 225 staff under his responsibility.
In 2009, with "The Independent" having been distributed, Andrew is looking forward to writing his next feature film whilst undertaking Masters by Research in Film & Television. "A study of recurring structual patterns in successful romantic comedy screenplays"
