Biography

Professor Tony Bacic holds a Personal Chair in the School of Botany. He has been Director of the Plant Cell Biology Research Centre since 2000, and is currently Platform Convenor of NCRIS-funded Metabolomics Australia; Research Leader for the ARC/GRDC-funded Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics since 2003; and Deputy Director of the GRDC-funded Cereal Functional Genomics Centre since 2000. His is an Interim Director of BioPlatforms Australia and is on the Australian Proteomics Computational Facility Management Committee, the Integrative Neuroscience Facility Platform Management Committee and the Maud Gibson Trust, Royal Botanic Gardens, Cranbourne, and is a Director of several small biotech companies.
