Biography
Dr Jenkins is an epidemiologist who has over 10 years experience on the design, conduct, and analysis of studies examining the role of genetic and environmental causes of cancer. He is Co-Principal Investigator of NIH funded Colon Cancer Family Registry. He is the co-Chair of steering committee of the NIH funded international collaboration: the Colon Cancer Family Registry and is also a member of the Epidemiology Working Group of the Colon Cancer Family Registry. He has published over 90 peer reviewed articles, a large proportion of which are in genetic epidemiology of cancer, including colorectal cancer research. He has also published reviews articles and editorials on mismatch repair genes and colorectal cancer. He is an investigator on over 20 funded international and national research projects. He currently teaches, at postgraduate level, a course in Genetic Epidemiology and is coordinator of MPH student research projects. He has been a member of both national (NHMRC) and international review panels (NIH-EPIC) and contributes to peer review of national and international journals and funding bodies.
