Biography
Hemanta Doloi’s research is centred on process modelling, life cycle analysis, and multi-criteria decision analysis and soft computing techniques in the field of Project Management. His research addresses the critical issues of appropriate decision making focusing whole of life cycle in projects. As part of the PhD research, he developed a discrete event process simulation model for effective front-end planning and optimal management of projects. A new concept project management concept known as Life Cycle Project Management (LCPM) has been established and published through his PhD thesis and numerous publications in the field.
Doloi is at the forefront of applying process simulation, cost modelling, risk modelling, multi-criteria and fuzzy preference modelling in the decision making context of the project management research. In particular, he has developed a methodology that enables the use of these techniques for optimal configuration, value optimisation, risk minimisation and the sustainable development of capital projects. His research efforts have also contributed to the use of advanced modelling techniques in Climate Change to develop an experimental framework and hierarchical decision model that places benefits to stakeholders and community interests at the core of decision making.
So far, Dr. Doloi has published over 50 research papers in peer reviewed journals and conferences internationally. In addition, Dr. Doloi authored a book and two book chapters. Dr. Doloi is being consulted as consultant for training on project modelling and management in the corporate world.
