  • Professor Kevin O’Connor is Professorial Fellow in Urban Planning at the University of Melbourne. His research lies in the areas of economic geography and regional science and recently has explored the association between the location and operation of logistics activity and the development of global cities and the regions within them. He is currently an Associate Editor of the Journal of Transport Geography, responsible for Asia and Australasia.

    His research has been characterised by an energetic involvement in the debate about urban strategic development, involving extensive contact with print and electronic media, along with briefings to professional groups, government and private firms. This involvement has been recognised in major awards from the Planning Institute of Australia and the Urban Development Institute of Australia.
